Team Colors Bar Cookies

These yummy treats are an easy way to add your favorite team colors to any tailgate, big game party, or kid team celebration! This is so much quicker than individual cookies that have to be spaced out on a sheet and they are buttery, chewy, and delicious!
Servings: 24 brownies
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups team colored chocolate candy

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375℉. Grease 9×13 pan.
  2. With an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and beat in gradually. Add candy and stir in by hand to avoid breaking the candy.
  3. Spread into greased pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Enjoy!

Notes

Custom team colored candy is available online. Alternately, you may be able to utilize the normal colors or holiday mix colors at the supermarket to pick out your team colors depending on your colors. For example, we root for the Lions and I was able to use the blue and white from the Fourth of July mix for mine.
