Method
- Lay out six desserts. Unwrap Hershey kisses. Rinse and drain cherries, dry very well.
- Melt semi sweet chocolate chips in the microwave on 50% power at thirty second intervals stirring at each interval until melted.
- Dip a cherry in the melted chocolate just slightly up onto the stem (whole cherry plus a part of the stem get dipped). Place the cherry onto the dessert. Repeat for the other mouse in the pair.
- Sandwich two almond ears between the cherry and the Hershey kiss. Repeat for the second mouse in the pair. Plan ahead on your spacing so the noses will be touching or very close to touching. Use melted chocolate and a toothpick to affix the red nose. Use white decorator icing and a toothpick to affix the eyes. Finish eyes with black writing icing and a toothpick or black edible marker.
- Repeat assembling mice on the rest of the desserts.
- Use XOXO and heart sprinkles to garnish each dessert. You can use the white icing and a toothpick to affix the sprinkles. Enjoy!

Notes
A lot of the cherries I had in my jar were damaged/oddly shaped, or missing stems. The 11 oz jar of cherries had the 12 good cherries needed with only a few to spare. So don't buy a smaller jar assuming all of the cherries will be usable for this project even though the 11 oz jar may seem big!
ALLERGY NOTE: Maraschino cherries are often flavored with almond extract although the label often states only "natural flavorings", so be aware for those with nut allergies!
