Oktoberfest Warm Beer Cheese Dip

Ready in 15 minutes, this warm beer cheese dip is a crowd pleaser perfect for your Oktoberfest celebration or any fall get together! Serve with your favorite frozen brand of warmed soft pretzels.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • cup German style beer
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 8 oz block sharp cheddar cheese

Method
 

  1. Shred cheese, set aside.
  2. Melt butter over medium-high heat in medium sauce pan. Add flour, whisk for one minute until a paste is created. Whisk in the half and half. Continue to whisk for one minute until it thickens.
  3. One at a time, whisk in remaining ingredients in order listed until cheese is melted.
  4. Pour into serving dish. Serve warm with pretzels, pretzel bites, or pretzel dogs. Enjoy!
